The Trojans

The Trojans rose to the Rainbow Stage just before sunset, almost two hours before their allotted time. Not a pre-emptive strike against the Greeks, but a switch-around with Tokyo Ska Paradise, who had not arrived at the venue yet. (Tokyo traffic, what can you do? Did the rescheduling cause any issues? Naw man, these guys are professionals.)

The TrojansPoised for battle was a band with almost 30 years in the making and with musicians that together had over 100 years of experience. A frightful foe to be up against. Thankfully we were gathered in peace. And yet, when they played, we lost. The grassy slopes were littered with bodies that had succumbed to the full force of Hollie Cook’s siren song and the band’s hypnotic melodies. Our brains were muddled by strange and dangerous compositions which took us over.

As the sun began to set, it became clear. Fuji-san retreated behind the clouds as if to say “Give in and dance now, for this is a war The Trojans will win.”

And so it was that The Trojans gained victory over the people of Asagiri.
