Japanese alternative metalcore band “coldrain” was the second formation to take the stage at the Triple Axe in Tokyo, and their performance was one not easily forgotten.

The Nagoya band has been touring almost non-stop since the start of the year. Starting with a headlining 3-date tour in the UK in January, they also toured the whole Europe supporting Bullet for my Valentine, and Japan with Crossfaith and Miss May I. Only last week they were performing at the renown metal festival Download. And all these live performances have made coldrain razor sharp.

The Tokyo show of the Triple Axe was probably the best one I have seen them play to this date, but since they keep improving every time they perform, it will surely be surpassed by next show.

The audience of Zepp Tokyo was able to enjoy a coldrain formation at its best. Flawless in their execution, but relaxed and energetic at the same, all members of the band seemed to enjoy every moment they stayed on stage. And all that energy easily transmitted to the crowd that went wild from the start.

There are still a few more dates on the Triple Axe tour, so if you have a ticket, or are near Fukuoka (the only not-sold-out show) and get one, you will not be disappointed with what you will see.
