| これで俺も死ぬのか。もうアカン... と、そう思ったのは、ロリータ18号がステージに登場して1曲目か、ひょっとして2曲目だったかもしれん。あまりの勢いの良さに、真ん前で撮影しなきゃいい写真が撮れないと、柵の中に潜り込んしばらく後、ちょうどこの写真を撮影した直後のことだった。ステージにかじりついて、しゃかりきになってシャッターを押していたときに背中の柵がオーディエンスと一緒に倒れてきて、その重さに押しつぶされたわけだ。これまでこういった撮影を続けてくること10余年、このたぐいの事故のニュースを見たことはあったが、まさか自分が体験するとは思わなかった。 |
| これが圧死というやつなんだろう。あまりの重さに身動きもとれず、声を上げるどころか呼吸もできない。なんとか意識はあったんだが、もうだめかと左手に持っていたカメラをステージに落としたとき... だったと思うが、バンドが演奏を止めて、客に声をかけてくれたようだ。おそらく、あと数十秒でもあの状態が続いていたら、死んでいただろうと思う。が、ともかく生き延びた。 |  |

不思議なことに、自分の背中から柵がどけられて、人の重さがなくなって、どうやって柵の外に出たのか... そのあたりの記憶が完全にぶっ飛んでいて、気がついたら、上手のフロアに四つんばいになって呼吸を取り戻そうとしていた。身体とステージに挟まれたカメラは無事だったが、買って数日後の、まだローンも払い始めていないやたら値段の張るレンズがおかしくなったり、肋骨あたりがやたら痛くて、両足がしびれている。結局は、事故死することなく、なんとか生き残った2003年はこうやって暮れていった。 (*ちなみに、On Air Eastが新しくなって、二つの小屋になったんだが、こちらが小さい方のDUO MUSIC EXCHANGE。きれいなんだけど、生半可な柵なんて作らない方がいい。あれはあくまで観客を守るためのものであり、そのためには強固でセキュリティ・ガードがきちんと動けるスペースも確保しなければいけない。観客の重さで倒れるような代物は作らない方がいい。このあたりの最低限の設備努力はすべきだ。) |
| そんなこともあり、ほぼ1年ぶりに体験することになったロリータ19号のライヴが再開されても、それがどうだったのか、ほとんど記憶にはない。彼らのライヴがいいのは十分知っているし、相変わらすの破天荒な勢いがそのままだったことは覚えているけど、この日の演奏がどれほど素晴らしかったのかを語るほど余裕がなかったあというのが正しい。そのあたりは写真のレポートで判断してもらうしかない。 photo by hanasan -->part2 |
