最後にあがた森魚のライヴを見たのは... 数年前、"20世紀漂流記/あがた森魚ベスト"が発表されたときだったと思う。その前は、おそらく、はちみつぱいが"9th June 1988"を録音した88年。"噫無情（レ・ミゼラブル）"と並んで"センチメンタル通り"が日本のロック史上最も素晴らしい作品だと思っている自分にとってこの2本のライヴは決して見逃すことができなかった。 数年ぶりのあがた森魚は、初めて見た70年代初期からこの日まで、そして、これから先も、唯一無二のアーティストだということを思い知らせることになる。この日歌われたのは、香ル港、佐藤敬子先生ははザンコクな人ですけど、不思議な公園、自転車少年、大寒町、そして、インビジブルマンズデスベッドを伴って、赤色エレジー、サルビアの花、いとしの第六惑星、サブマリン... 大寒町で撮影の手が止まり、サルビアで歌の世界に吸い込まれてしまった。 デビュー当時から特異な個性を放つ歌や絵や映画の世界を飲み込みながら、あがたのフィルターを通すことで、さらに特異なあがたの世界を作ってきているのだが、この日もそれは変わらなかった。どこに接点があるのかなかなか想像できないインヴィジブルデスマンズベッドのリクエストで実現したこの共演で選ばれたのは4曲。バックに徹していたインヴィジのメンバーの緊張した表情がほほえましくもあったが、それよりもなによりもあがたが放つ異彩がまぶしく、再び彼の才能に納得せざるを得なくなってしまうのだ。 ベルウッド・レーベルから発表されたアルバム3枚を収録したBOX SETを記念して、3月1日に下北沢Grape Fruit Moonで、今回も登場したギター、藤田建洋に加えて、五十嵐祐輔のベースを伴ってライヴをすることになっているのだが、これも見逃せないだろう。加えて、まだ若かった頃の大滝詠一、泉谷しげる、桃井かおりから横尾忠則といったそうそうたる顔ぶれが出演している、あがたの監督第一作目の映画"僕は天使ぢゃないよ"もDVDとして発表されることになっている。30年を経ても輝きを失わない歌の世界にまた驚かされることになるのだろう。 comment and photo by hanasan |
