1996年より行われている、ロックを中心とした幅広い楽曲を楽しめるDJパーティ、「ゲッティング・ベター」。この日は14周年を記念するイベントで、出演は他に、ザ・ボウディーズ、BIGMAMA(ビッグママ)、[Champagne](シャンペイン)、Prague(プラハ)と、現在注目株のバンド達が、渋谷オー・イーストに集結した。

各バンドの演奏の合間にも、DJの流す音楽がとどまることがなく、ソールドアウトとなった会場の、盛り上がりと熱気は凄まじいものだった。 そんな熱狂的な観客に迎えられ、3番目に登場した、ア・フラッド・オブ・サークルは、7月に発売するニュー・シングル、「ヒューマン・ライセンス」も含めた、全8曲を披露。ライヴでの定番曲、「プシケ」で、ボルテージは一気に頂点に。続くラストの「春の嵐」になると、会場全体がパッと明るくなったような印象で、バンドと観客が一体となって楽しんでいる空気が、ひしひしと伝わってきた。 7月26日には、メジャー・デビュー後初のシングル発売にともなった、ワンマン・ライブが渋谷デュオにて開催され、その後も、各地のイベントや、夏フェスへの出演も決まっている。 春の次には、待ちに待った夏が来る。そんな夏がおとずれるワクワク感を、この日のライヴで味わわせてもらうことが出来た。 |
